Your Questions, Answered.

No, you do not need a referral to access midwifery care with Peaceful Pathways Midwifery.
In some circumstances, a referral may be required as part of your care, depending on your individual needs and the services involved. If this applies to you, we will discuss the process and assist you in obtaining any necessary referrals.
Please contact us for further information or to discuss your individual circumstances.

The sooner, the better! At Peaceful Pathways Midwifery, Leah can begin supporting you from the moment you receive a positive home pregnancy test.
Early care provides an opportunity to discuss your options, answer any questions, and ensure you feel informed and supported throughout your pregnancy journey from the very beginning.

Your safety and the wellbeing of your baby are always our highest priorities. If at any stage of your care your midwife identifies something outside the normal range, has concerns, or you are worried about your pregnancy, you will be referred to the most appropriate healthcare professional for further assessment and support.
Depending on your individual circumstances, this may include your GP, an obstetrician, a paediatrician, or another relevant specialist.
At Peaceful Pathways Midwifery, we value collaborative care and maintain positive working relationships with a range of healthcare professionals. This ensures you receive the right care, from the right provider, at the right time, while continuing to feel supported throughout your pregnancy journey.

All midwives involved in your care are accredited and experienced in supporting both water immersion for pain relief during labour and water birth, allowing you to explore this option as part of your birth planning.
All water birth equipment is provided as part of your standard care, so there is no need to source or hire equipment separately.
At Peaceful Pathways Midwifery, we are committed to supporting informed choice and helping you plan a birth experience that aligns with your wishes.
