Homebirth and Continuity of Care

From conception to 6 weeks postpartum

Antenatal Care

Our antenatal care is designed to support you throughout your pregnancy with personalised, evidence-based midwifery care in the comfort of your own home. Appointments provide time to discuss your physical and emotional wellbeing, monitor the health of you and your baby, answer questions, and prepare for birth and early parenting.

As part of our continuity of care model, you will build a trusted relationship with your midwife, ensuring consistent support and guidance throughout your pregnancy journey.

Labour and Birth

Home birth offers the opportunity to labour and birth in the comfort, privacy, and familiarity of your own environment. Throughout labour, Leah provides continuous support, monitoring the wellbeing of both you and your baby while respecting the natural physiology of birth. This includes being on call 24/7 for care when you need it most.

Peaceful Pathways Midwifery provides all necessary equipment for routine care, water birth, and emergency situations, allowing you to focus on your birth experience surrounded by the people and comforts that matter most to you. Care is tailored to your individual needs and preferences, supporting informed consent at all times.

Postnatal Care

The weeks following birth are a time of significant physical, emotional, and family adjustment. Our postnatal care provides ongoing support for you and your baby in the comfort of your own home, helping you navigate this important transition with confidence.

Visits include monitoring the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, infant feeding support, newborn assessments, emotional wellbeing checks, and guidance as you settle into life with your new baby.

Postnatal visits are provided on a regular basis to 6 weeks postpartum.
